Resume - Dietrich von Riesen

Dietrich von Riesen, 62, is chairman of the board of Riesen Far East Consultants Pte. Ltd. since 1986. Before founding the company Mr. von Riesen was active in the management of different engineering and manufacturing companies in Germany and abroad.

After studying linguistics the born Danziger began his business career as export manager in a factory of woodworking machinery in Speyer/Germany. Three years later, he continued as export consultant for Asia in the multinational corporation Mannesmann-Demag in Duesseldorf. In 1984, after a period of intensive worldwide traveling as sales manager, Mr. von Riesen took responsibility as managing director for Krupp Widia Asia Pte. Ltd., a subsidiary of the German precision tool maker, based in Singapore.

The extremely rapid economic development of East Asia caused him to found Riesen Far East Consultants Pte. Ltd. in Singapore, now almost 20 years ago. Dietrich von Riesen is married and has 2 children.
